About the Vaccine
What is the COVID-19 vaccine?
The COVID-19 vaccine is a safe and effective shot into your upper arm, just like the flu shot you probably get every year. The vaccination will help protect you from the virus and will also help keep your family, friends, and community safe. By getting the vaccine we’ll be a step closer to returning to life as normal! The vaccine is free for everyone even if you don’t have insurance so you can schedule an appointment to receive it as soon as possible.

What vaccines are available?
If you are under 18 years old, you are ONLY able to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine - be sure that the location you schedule your appointment at has the Pfizer vaccine supplied. All of the vaccines are safe and effective and have been approved for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Based on evidence from clinical trials, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was 95% effective at preventing confirmed COVID-19 illness in people without evidence of previous infection. The Moderna vaccine was 94.1% effective and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine was 66.3% effective.
