1. a blustering, quarrelsome, overbearing person who habitually badgers and intimidates smaller or weaker people
2. to be loudly arrogant and overbearing
Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among children and youth (and even amongst some adults) that involves a real (it's reality and you see, your friends see it, your teachers see it...it's in front of everyone's eyes!) or perceived (thinking that it's real, but it's all in the mind and doesn't exist in real life so people are unaware that it's happening) power struggle. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both individuals, those who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems.
It is typical that people who bully have been victims, or are victims of bullying themselves. Being bullied can definitely take its toll on a person, that is why it's so critical to talk to someone, preferably a trusted adult (counselor at school, a parent, aunty, uncle, older brother or sister). Even if you are not the one being bullied...there is plenty of help out there! Educate yourself, your friends, your teachers...your parents...in general Speak OUT!!
