It's hard to feel supported when going through your teen years, but in some instances support may be even harder for LGBTQ youth.
Support from family and friends is always what we hope for and seek when we are going through personal tough times and making life-changing decisions, but at times due to fear, personal assumptions, or simple lack of information, even from our loved ones, it may seem hard for an LGBTQ youth to feel supported. We want you to know that there are many types of support available for LGBTQ youth during this critical time. Below are several websites of groups whose mission is to do just that: support LGBTQ youth!
The It Gets Better Project was created to show young LGBTQ people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach - if they can just get through their teen years. The It Gets Better Project wants to remind teenagers in the LGBTQ community that they are not alone - and it WILL get better.
